Luxury Kenyan Vacation

A Maasai warrior in traditional attire jumps high, showcasing cultural dance in Kenya.

I have an obsession with Kenya. Ever since I was a kid, I have dreamt of visiting this beautiful African country and experiencing a trip of a lifetime. I have friends who grew up in Kenya because their parents worked there and I listened to every story with passion in my heart. Here’s my itinerary for a luxury Kenyan vacation.

Before you start your Kenyan vacation, there are a few things you should know.

Best time to go: July to October (Great Migration), or January to March (dry season and fewer crowds)

Visa: Kenya eVisa available online

Health: Yellow fever vaccine, malaria prophylaxis recommended

Passport: Make sure to have 2 blank pages

Day 1 to 3: Diani Beach

Fly into Ukunda airstrip (from Nairobi or your safari)

Where you should stay…

They can also arrange for you the spend the day Shimba Hills National Reserve. A mix of surfing and safari?! Yes, please.

If you love adventures …

Sunset dhow cruise with Swahili seafood dinner
